What is your number 1 guilty pleasure movie?

Published by jfgett at 3:19 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

There are some movies that we love, although we know they are bad, or we know that if anyone ever asked us, we would never admit to liking.  That is the definition of a guilty pleasure movie.  Everyone has a guilty pleasure or two, I want to hear what they are.  I will get things started by listing a few of mine.

1.  Moulin Rouge

I swore I would never watch this movie, and lived up to that for a long time, but my friend John wanted me to watch it, and I wanted him to watch The Life of David Gale, so we made a movie trade.  I was shocked that I really liked Moulin Rouge, but to be honest I like it a little more each time I watch it.

2.  Bubble Boy

I have talked about this before, but this is a horrible movie.  It is silly, the plot is dumb, it is so unrealistic, and Fabio is a cult leader.  That being said, it makes me laugh whenever I watch it.  I can’t help but love this movie, and Jake Gyllenhall is a great actor, and he makes this movie what it is.

3.  The Notebook/A Walk to Remember

I am putting these two together because they are both based on Nicholas Sparks books,  and therefore they have a similar feel.  These movies are the definition of chick flicks.  Movies about love are made for women not men, but a good movie is a good movie, and as a self proclaimed movie buff, I love these movies.

Those are my guilty pleasure movies, now I want to hear from you.  What is your biggest guilty pleasure movie?

My guilty pleasure movie is Girls Just Want to Have Fun with Helen Hunt and Sarah Jessica Parker. It is a bad movie, I know. When it comes on tv it does not matter where it is in the movie but I have to watch and then get out the dvd to catch the parts I missed. I know it is not a award winning movie but it makes me smile and therefore is a good movie to me.
